14th Century Manor House 2012

They say the devil is in the detail. In the case of this 14th Century Manor House kitchen, never a truer word was spoken. The challenge here was to design a space that was consistent with the narrative of a listed building yet fit for today's life styles.

In its original form the building wouldn't have had a fitted kitchen so designing something complimentary meant great attention to material selection and scale. The kitchen is large and detailed. Visual relief is delivered using a blend of materials, each with its own unique tone and texture.
